Growing up in the fashion world I was surrounded by two original influencers — my mother and grandmother — who had a specialty store in Nashville, JAMIE (named after my grandmother), for over 40 years. My grandmother first opened her store in 1973, and together with my mom, shaped designer fashion & culture in Nashville. Naturally, my childhood was filled with fashion. I spent after schools at the store, I tagged along with my mom to market appointments in New York, and I got exposure into the minds of some of fashion’s best at a very young age — from Oscar de la Renta and Calvin Klein to Vera Wang. I wanted to be a part of the legacy that the women in my family were building.

Years later, while JAMIE as we once knew it is no longer around, I’ve been dreaming about reviving it in my own way. As my personal style has evolved, it is very much rooted in my grandmother’s and my mother’s teachings: quality over quantity, classic and timeless always, and the beauty of a capsule wardrobe: a tighter, curated wardrobe that focuses on investment pieces over those that are trendy.
