The Dress I Thought I'd Never Wear

The Dress I Thought I'd Never Wear

As I've gotten older, I've really been trying to evolve my style. Maybe 'trying' isn't really the right word, though, because it kind of just happens. While we all go through different phases, I think that it is sometimes hard to break away from wearing what has been dictated as "trendy"--or what everyone seems to be wearing--and just do your own thing. But, that's kind of where I'm at right now. I don't like to get too caught up on what everyone else is wearing but rather, focus on how I feel and how I want to evolve, and that comes out in y everyday style. What I mean by this is that with self-evolution, style-evolution comes naturally.

This is ultimately why I decided to write this post, because if you know me well, you know that I have typically never been the one to buy and/or wear printed anything. Not sure why, but I've always been a more solid-color type of girl; I like to keep things simple. However, more recently, I've been stepping out of my comfort zone a little more. Maybe it's confidence or maybe it's just simply wanting to switch things up.

So, while doing my seasonal run at Zara, my mom convinced me that a palm-printed dress was a necessary addition to my summer wardrobe. Although I was a little hesitant, here I am.

I recently wore this dress in London and thought I would post it because it has since become one of my favorites. Every time I put it on, I can't help but feel happy and super feminine.

Although I know its daunting to step out of your comfort zone style wise, don't restrict the evolution of your style as it will happen from time-to-time. It's good to experiment a little and you might even surprise yourself.
